Description/Taste
Wood Sorrel can be recognized by its 3 heart shaped leaves that form off a single stem. With an overall forest green color, Wood sorrel also has small purple spotted pigmentation on the leaves. The Wood sorrel is not a true sorrel, but rather belongs to the Oxalidaceae. The heart shaped leaflets offer a true lemon flavor that has mild citrus and tart undertones.
