Enjoy this popular tasty grape simply eaten out of hand. Toss in fruit salads for texture, color and for a burst of juicy flavor. Garnish salads and fancy sandwiches. Place a chilled cluster on top of a colorful mixed fruit bowl for healthy mealtime nibbling. Make grape and currant chutney: combine three cups of seedless green grapes, about one cup of apple juice, one cup of fresh currants, one-half cup of honey and one cup of apple cider vinegar in a large pot. Add the following seasonings to taste: cinnamon, cardamom, garlic and grated fresh ginger. Bring to a good rolling boil over high heat. Puree mixture; return to pot; simmer ten minutes. Drain in colander just to remove liquid. May be served warm or chilled. Perfect accompaniment for curry dishes. To store, place unwashed grapes in a perforated plastic bag; refrigerate.

Geography/History
A very hardy grape variety, green seedless grapes are the first to make their debut of the season. Green seedless grapes account for a major portion of the table grapes grown in California. Thompson seedless green grape accounts for nearly forty percent of California's fresh grape crops. It is thought this grape originated in ancient Persia, which is now Iran.
