Di Ciccio broccoli is an Italian heirloom variety, which forms a little different from conventional broccoli. The Di Ciccio broccoli produces sizable heads and more side shoots, due to harvesting practices. It has slender green stems with mini florets forming from the shoots. Di Ciccio broccoli offers a green earhty flavor.
Italian Di Ciccio broccoli is available in the fall and sometimes early spring months.
Raw or just briefly cooked, add to mixed green salads. Use as edible garnish for grilled, sautéed and roasted meats. Include in vegetable medleys. To store, keep refrigerated in a plastic bag.
