
Maui Onions
Two characteristics set the Maui onion apart from other yellow onions: the high sugar and high moisture content of its flesh.
White Corn
White corn is a sweet corn variety. Its ears are wrapped in tightly layered pale lime green to white husks. One ear of corn can contain up to 400 kernels growing in rows lengthwise.
Baby Bok Choy is available year round.

Baby bok choy's pale green leaves and stems are sweet and taste similar to a delicately flavored cabbage.
Nutritional Value
Like other cabbage, baby bok choy is an excellent source of vitamin C, a good source of vitamin A, contains several minerals, and is low in calories. This nutritious green is ideal roughage to aid digestion.
Applications
Best-cooked whole, the stems and leaves of baby bok choy may be boiled, steamed, sautéed or braised. Add its mild taste and tender texture to stir-fries, stews and soups. Its subtle flavor pairs well with poultry, beef, shellfish, lamb or pork. Use as a substitute for cabbage. To store, place unwashed in a perforated plastic bag or brown paper bag. Refrigerate in crisper drawer for only one to two days. Wash thoroughly to remove any sandy grit; drain well.
Geography/History
Also known as bak choi, paak choi, Chinese chard cabbage and Chinese mustard cabbage, bok choy is member of the cabbage family, Brassica chinensis. Cultivated in China for many centuries, Europe got acquainted with this vegetable in the 1700s. Grown in Canada and popular in Philippine cuisine, bok choy is especially popular in Chinese cooking. In the United States, California is a major producer. Harvested small in size, it is marketed as baby bok choy. A miniature type, Shanghai bok choy is a fancier name frequently used for baby bok choy. Of the baby bok choys, bok choy sum, also known as Canton bok choy, has tiny yellow flowers. Shanghai bok choy is most often light green in color and does not produce flowers.
