The Page tangerine is seedless, very sweet, low-acid tangerine variety. It is rounded and flattened in shape, with a thin, medium-orange-colored, tightly zipped rind. Its flesh is extremely juicy and its flavor is rich and sweet.
The Page tangerine is available from late winter until early spring.
The Page tangerine, botanically known as Citrus reticulata X paradise, is a cross between a Minneola tangelo and clementine mandarin. The Page tangerine was created by Gardner & Bellows of the USDA in 1942 in Orlando, Florida and was originally marketed as an orange. The Page tree is plagued with producing unacceptably small fruit.
