Description/Taste
Actually a milder flavored version of the red raspberry, the plump golden raspberry offers somewhat of a creamy flavor that some describe as a blend of a banana, an apricot and a raspberry. These little eye-catching berries are deep yellow when immature and develop a rich amber gold color when ripe and turn red-orange when overripe. Very gourmet, chefs love this berry's unusual color that gives an aesthetic twist to specialty desserts and sauces.
