Description/Taste
The Hosui Asian pears have a rougher, thicker skin than other Asian pear varieties with flesh that while still crunchy has a more melting mouth feel, making the texture combination when eaten out of hand spectacular. It is very juicy and sweet with a mild pear taste.
Seasons/Availability
Hosui Asian pears are available from Frog Hollow Farms from late August through September.
