Sweet lime is also known as the sweet Persian lime and botanically as Citrus limettiodes. This lime has a golden yellow skin when ripe, but can also retain small streaks of green on the outer skin. The rind of the Sweet lime is thin and easy to peel. The Sweet lime offers a sweet acidless flavor with mild honey notes.
