Description/Taste
These mushrooms offer a slightly stronger flavor than the small white button. They vary in size from one-and-one-fourth inches to one-and-three-fourths inches and are creamy white or light brown in color.
Nutritional Value
Mushrooms are 90% water and low in calories. They are also rich in potassium, selenium, protein, and antioxidants.
Applications
This size mushroom is ideal for stir-fries, pizza, pasta and rice dishes. Use in light sauces for accompanying grilled or roasted meats or chop up and combine with herbs, rice and cheese to be used as a stuffing for peppers or tomatoes. To prepare, rinse mushrooms quickly and pat dry. To store, refrigerate in a paper bag, never plastic.
