The Valencia Pride mango is a Florida variety first introduced in 1941. The variety is a descendant of the original Haden seedling; a grafted variety from India was brought to Florida by Capt. John J. Haden of Coconut Grove, Florida. He cultivated the first mangoes in 1902. Valencia Pride mangoes are found growing in temperate and tropical climates.
