Pulasan Fruit (Twist Fruit)
Inventory, lb : 0
Description/Taste
Pulasan grow to be about 5 cm wide and 6 cm long with a dark red or occasionally yellow, thick, leathery rind when ripe. The fruit is conical in shape and has a skin that is covered with short, thick, stubby spines, most closely resembling a Rambutan. Pulasan is opened by twisting the fruit with both hands to expose the white, juicy and sweet flesh (most similar to a lychee in texture) which accounts for 25-30% of the fruit’s total weight.
Seasons/Availability
Pulasan fruits are available in two separate harvest seasons, the spring and fall.
