The Petite™ Citrus Mix is part of a Trademarked line of specialty greens grown by Fresh Origins in San Marcos, CA. Designed to be slightly larger than microgreens, they are harvested after 2-4 weeks of extra growth. They offer more robust flavor, bolder color, sturdier texture and ultimately more versatility.
The different herbs in the Petite™ Citrus Mix provide iron, vitamin C, antioxidants, thiamine, potassium, beta-carotene and magnesium.
The Petite™ Citrus Mix offers a more robust flavor and more substantial texture than many other micro greens. They have a moderately strong citrus quality and substantial texture that is best suited for savory dishes. The Petite™ Citrus Mix is best used lightly dressed with a bright olive oil or a sprinkling of salt and is a highly versatile garnish for seafood, meat, poultry and cheese courses.
Petite™ Citrus Mix and other Petite™ Green mixes are widely used by restaurant chefs to enhance their dishes with no additional prep time. They can be found not only in trendy restaurants but available at farmers markets and specialty food stores for everyday cooking.
