The smooth-skinned Pam pumpkin produces a heavy stem with a moderately hard rind encasing an edible orange flesh. The flavor is extremely sweet with a tender, string-less pulp.
All pumpkins provide a source of vitamin C, potassium and beta carotene.
The Pam pumpkin is the ideal size and flavor for making a single pumpkin pie. Cut and clean multiple pumpkins and use as soup “bowls”. While a bit small to carve for Halloween, the petite size works well for decorating with markers and embellishments. To store, keep pumpkins in a cool dry area up to one month, or refrigerate for up to 3 months.
