The mixed melons available from Crow's Pass Farm contains five different varieties. The Hoagen melon has a thick yellow skin that has green stripes. The green flesh has a very juicy sweet flavor. Creme de la Creme melon has a yellow to orange netted skin with a creamy white to pale orange flesh. The Ambrosia melon is a hybrid melon that has a similar appearance to the cantaloupe. The outer skin has a tan to gold color and a pale orange flesh. The Ambrosia offers a sweet melon taste with overtones of a floral fragrance. The Galia melon looks like a cantaloupe from the outside and a honeydew melon on the inside. This melon offers a spicy sweet flavor that has tropical and floral scents. The Pixie melon is the smallest of the mix and is about the size of one's palm. The outer skin has a green to almost tan color with a sweet orange flesh.
Mixed melons are available from mid-summer to fall.
