White Corn
White corn is a sweet corn variety. Its ears are wrapped in tightly layered pale lime green to white husks. One ear of corn can contain up to 400 kernels growing in rows lengthwise.
Cantaloupe Melon
The cantaloupe is defined by two elements: its roughly netted stone and green colored skin and its aromatic orange-coral colored flesh. When perfectly ripe, the flesh is juicy, unctuous and sweet.
Mexican sage flowers are typically available during the summer months.
Description/Taste
Rich and velvety, the purple blossoms of the Mexican sage grow on spires. Its fragrance and flavor is milder than most of the other sage varieties.
Geography/History
A shrubby perennial and growing wild in central Mexico for centuries, Mexican sage is a member of the species Salvia mexicana. It especially loves life in the northern arid subtropical areas and the compatible conditions in the tropics of the southern region. Cultivated Mexican Sage can grow to a height of three to nine feet and spread out to three to four feet in width. This attractive flower is a favorite nectar source of the hummingbird.
