Offering the same great flavor as the stems and leaves, chive blossoms have a slight onion flavor.
Members of the Allium family such as onions, garlic and chives have naturally occurring antibiotic properties and have long been used to aid in digestion, fight off colds and boost the immune system.
The origin of chive blossoms is uncertain. Some sources say they are native to northern Europe and parts of North America and others say they may have had their beginning in Central Asia.
