Description/Taste
These lunar White carrots are tapered thin and have nearly coreless roots. Their color can be directly correlated with their sweet and milder carrot flavor. Their texture is crunchy and crisp.
Nutritional Value
The White carrot lacks the pigment found in other carrot varieties giving it a lower nutritional value, however, it does contain health-promoting phytochemicals: natural bioactive compounds that work with nutrients and dietary fibre to protect against disease.
Geography/History
White carrot's origins can be found in the area known as the Fertile Crescent, a region in the Middle East that spans from present day Afghanistan to Pakistan and Iran, although it was first domesticate in the Mediterranean region.
