It is used for making tteok (rice cake); jeon, a Korean style pancake; and ssuk kimchi, ssukguk, a soup made with ssuk.
Geography/History
Asiatic wormwood is primarily found in the eastern part of Asia, such as the Korean Peninsula, Japan and Mongolia. It also grows in China's northeast, north, east, southwest, Shaanxi and Gansu regions. Prolific and easy to naturalize and adapt, it grows wild in roadside grass. Moist fertile soil is its favorite home.
