Romano green beans are wide flat smooth pods that range from five to seven inches in length and offer a deliciously meaty texture.

Applications
This wonderful bean can be eaten raw as a side dish or used as an ingredient in soups, stews and casseroles. May be substituted for green beans in most recipes. To store, refrigerate in a perforated plastic bag. Use within 5 days for optimum quality.

Geography/History
Romano beans, also known as an Italian flat beans or Italian string beans, require sunny days and well-drained warm rich soil for germination and growth. Produced on upright bush plants, these ultimate beans are harvested before the seeds enlarge for enjoying the peak of eating pleasure. The beans usually mature about fifty-nine days after planting.
