Description/Taste
Producing leaves that are a bit bigger and somewhat crinkly, but not as crinkly as Bloomsdale spinach, a savoy variety, semi-savoy spinach offers a never-bitter sweet flavor.

Applications
Semi-savoy spinach loves to play a tasty role in fresh mixed green salads and special spinach salads offering its sweet succulent flavorful accent. Stuff in pita bread sandwiches. Excellent edible bed for roasted, sautéed or grilled vegetables and meats. Savory creations welcome its healthy presence. To store, refrigerate in a plastic bag. A relatively good keeper, use within seven to ten days.

Geography/History
Due to frequent fog at Rutiz Farms' California location, hardy semi-savoy spinach is an ideal variety to grow as it is more disease-resistant, especially mildew-resistant, than other spinach varieties.
