Description/Taste
Baby gold turnips offer a firm, tasty flesh that perks up the flavor of a variety of dishes. Offering a delicate, mild flavor somewhere between a crisp radish and a tart apple, these peppery, marble-size young turnips are often marketed with their edible, bright green leaves attached.

Geography/History
Locally grown at Coastal Organics in California and cultivated for centuries for both culinary and medicinal purposes, turnips, Brassica rapa, are believed to have origins in Scandinavia or Russia. Northern Europe has considered them a staple food for a very long time.
