Description/Taste
Organic Meiwa kumquats are quite sweet; because the rind is thicker on this variety, these mouthwatering kumquats develop a much higher sugar content than Nagami kumquats.

Applications
Best eaten fresh, they can also be cooked into purees and sauces.

Geography/History
Locally grown, Garcia Organic Farms has been providing the marketplace with outstanding fruit since 1985. Native to Japan, Meiwa kumquats are favored for their fantastic flavor. The plants are not as prolific or as high yielding as the Nagami kumquat variety which are notably much more vigorous and produce a greater volume of fruit.
