Concerning the recent FDA alert on Pistachio Nuts

- 3/31/09 : Specialty Produce is voluntarily recalling all pistachio nuts. The FDA has indicated there may be a possibility of a salmonella breakout associated with pistachio nuts. Specialty produce will voluntarily recall all pistachio nuts and discountinue the sale of pistachios until further notice.
- 4/20/09 : Specialty Produce is still discontinuing sales of pistachio nuts and pistachio nut products. The FDA has now determined that three environmental samples and one finished product sample obtained during the inspection of Setton Pistachio Inc. were positive for Salmonella.
- 4/24/09 : Our nut company has authorized the sale of pistachios. We will have in shell pistachios on Friday and pistachio nuts will be available next Wednesday, 4/29/09.
